As I write this, it is 32 degrees outside and exceptionally humid. Regardless, when the kids return to school and the daylight hours slip away, I can’t help but start thinking about fall.
For our family, autumn means the return to the arena. We spend a lot of time in arenas, this year that amount will only increase. I complain about it quite a bit. I have made a pact with Wizz that I will stop and just go with it, after all, it’s for the children.
In between visiting every arena in Southern Ontario, this year I would like to accomplish something I have wanted to do for a decade: day trip to Algonquin Park to witness the fall colours. We can hike the trails, have a picnic and take in the beautiful scenery.
Doesn’t that sound so idyllic? If only it played out that way. Here’s to hoping…
What about you, do you have any fall traditions that you enjoy doing with your family?
