Family Day is around the corner. For our non-Canadian friends, Family day is a holiday in February that some of our provinces observe. It’s rare that Leigh and I schlep our crew anywhere exciting on this day; usually we hit the tobogganing hill or the pond for some skating. However, this year is shaping up a bit differently. We are participating in the Family Snow Day, eh with the Canadian Cancer Society. Our goal here was two-fold; get the kids involved in something charitable and in return they get to run-it’s a fantastic combination.
The good news is there are a ton of cool events happening this year. If you want to donate to the Canadian Cancer Society Snowball fund and snowshoe the Don Valley trail, join us at Todmorden Mills. If you are looking for something different check out the links below:
If you live in Toronto or the surrounding area, visit this website for a list of Family Day activities and events.
Perhaps you were hoping to bust out of the city and do something new, I think the Family Fishing Event would be super cool. We have never participated in it, but it’s on my radar now.
I would love to take the kids curling here.
If spending the day eating pancakes and watching movies is more your thing, you can always enjoy an evening hike at Crawford Lake.
Enjoy the day with your family.
